Stainless steel is exceptionally weatherproof.
Regular cleaning with soapy water helps protect the surface of stainless steel and thus minimize the effect of chlorine. It is wise to wipe the frame with acid-free oil at least twice a year to reduce fading. Fading can only occur in the form of lightning rust, in which case it is possible to clean with a stainless steel cleaner.
